Fimbul & Ferm - Two Swedish MAD cartoonists

Svante ”Fimbul” Lundin (1945–2013) worked as an illustrator for publications such as Svenska MAD from the 1960s through the 1990s. He adopted the pseudonym ”Fimbul” as early as age 17. After studying at Beckmans, Svante entered the advertising industry as a freelance illustrator, highly valued for his speed and his spot-on character portraits.

Anders Ferm, a cover artist and comic book illustrator trained at Konstfack, worked on titles such as Svenska MAD during the 1970s and 1980s. He also created artwork and covers for the horror magazine Chock and numerous other comic books, including Buster, Midnattsrysaren, and Tarzan. In addition, Anders has produced a vast number of razor-sharp caricatures of celebrities and politicians.
