Åberg Museum
At Åbergs Museum everybody can have a good time, it doesn´t matter if you are young or old. You will find a fabulous collection of comics and comic inspired art as well as one of the worlds premier collections of old Disney items. For children we have the Trazan jungle hut. There is also a museum shop and a restaurant. There is a permanent exhibition of props, photos and costumes from the films about the lanky nerd Stig-Helmer. Outside the museum is a large playground for children.

Museum for children - play and art
The museum is suitable for children of all ages and has play facilities both inside and outside. There is an art treasure hunt, quiz in the art gallery and the Trazan hut which is popular with adults and children alike. Outside the museum is the playground, ”Banankontakt”, which is inspired by Trazan and Banarne with a banana theme throughout.
Outside the museum there are picnic tables where you can eat your own brought along lunch.
Celebrate a birthday at Åberg’s museum
Åberg’s museum is a popular place for children celebrating birthdays. The museum offers a unique and fun birthday experience that the children will not soon forget.
The celebration begins with ice cream with toppings, juice and chocolate pastrys for the children. During the first hour, there is a table reserved for the party, then it’s full swing in the Trazan hut. In there, you can play around, ride the slide, hide in the huts and discover Hemliga Arne’s lab.
The children get nice big balloons and tiger lolipops when they go home.
All in all, Åberg’s museum is a fantastic place for a different and memorable birthday party. Bananas!
Lasse Åberg’s collections
Åbergs Museum has an impressive collection of comic originals from world-leading cartoonists, such as Burne Hogart, Hal Foster and Carl Barks. They all represent comics history of the highest quality.
The museum also displays comic-inspired art by famous artists, mainly in the ”pop art” genre, such as Pablo Picasso, Keith Haring, Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol.
The collection of antique Disney items is one of the best in the world. In it there are many objects such as clocks, dolls, porcelain and tin toys from 1928-1940.
The museum also has the world’s only and smallest Stig-Helmer museum, which displays props, photos and clothes from the seven feature films with Stig-Helmer Olsson.
Åbergs Museum - easy to get here
To get to Åbergs Museum by car from Stockholm, drive on the E18 towards Enköping and take the first exit to Bålsta after which you follow the signs to the museum. From Enköping you take the E18 towards Stockholm and exit at Bålsta, and follow the signs to the museum.
To get to the museum by commuter train from or to Stockholm Central Station, you take the train to Bålsta, which takes about 40 minutes. From Bålsta station to the museum, it is 1.5 km to walk and there are two different routes to take.
Bus 303 stops behind the museum at the Lindegårdsvägen stop, and UL’s timetable for the trip can be found by searching for ”from Bålsta station to Åbergs Museum”.
